Biography Pastor Cline
Reverend Cline has served as pastor of Saint John Lutheran Church in Bellmore since July 1, 1997. She was awarded the Master of Divinity degree from The Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and after a year as residency pastor as Saint John was ordained to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America on June 12, 1998.
In addition to serving as pastor of Saint John, Pastor Cline as served the church and community in many other capacities. She has served on the Metropolitan New York Synod Church Day committee, the communication committee and on the Diaconate Council. Her ecumenical and interfaith work includes three years as the Metropolitan NY Synod representative to the Long Island Council of Churches,
Membership in the Bellmore/Merrick Interfaith Clergy Group and as a synod representative to the Lutheran Ecumenical Representatives Network. She served as dean of the Eastern Nassau Conference for six years. She has been a member of the Long Island Lutheran Anglican Roman Catholic (LARC) Dialogue of Long Island since 1999. Pastor Cline teaches Early Church History for Diakonia, an adult study program of the ELCA which enhances the knowledge of lay people and prepares candidates for the diaconate.
Pastor Cline and her husband, Edward, have been married since October 7, 1972. They have three adult children and their spouses and six grandchildren
