Deacon Charlene Drewes
Deacon Charlene transferred to Saint John’s in 2010. She quickly found her way to support our church in various services, such as Assistant Minister, Altar Guild, Worship Committee and Stewardship Committee. Although formally trained at the Diaconate, Charlene was not a rostered Deacon within the Metro New York Synod. With the support of Pastor and the congregation of Saint John, Charlene was set apart as a Synodical Deacon on May 3, 2014. The congregation immediately offered a call to Charlene and she is serving our congregation at present. She oversees Congregational Life, Worship Committee, supports adult and youth Christian Education as well as continuing her previous rolls. Charlene has also been trained in Bereavement Counseling and is available to not only our congregation, but to family and friends in need of support.
